Peter Senchuk's score to Eve of Understanding wins the "Silver Medal" for "Best Use of Music in a Feature Film" at the Park City Film Music Festival. This is the second time Peter has won an award for his film score at the PCFMF. In 2004 he won a "Gold Medal" for his score to The Five Stages of Beer.

Eve of Understanding wins "Best Feature Film" at the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival. Previous wins for the film include "Best Feature" at the 2006 Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto and "Best Actress" for Rebecca Lowman at both the Boston Film Festival and the Breckenridge Film Festival.

Eve of Understanding screens at the FAIF International Film Festival on Tuesday, 10 October at 5pm. Screenings are held at Mann's Chinese 6 Theaters in Hollywood located at Hollywood & Highland, 6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028. Tickets are available at the door. The film is scored by Peter Senchuk.

Composer Peter Senchuk travels to the Ukraine for 4 weeks to study the ethnic music of his parent's birthplace. He is currently working on a concert work for world-renowned Bandurist Victor Mishalow, also of Ukrainian heritage.

Eve of Understanding screens at the Dances with Film Festival in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, 23 July at 7:15pm. The film, scored by Peter Senchuk, will also be screening at the 10th Annual Rhode Island Film Festival (RI) in August and the 26th Annual Breckenridge Film Fest (CO) in September.

Eve of Understanding to screen at Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, Michigan (June 9th and 11th) and Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto (June 15th). The film is nominated for Best Feature and Best Screenplay at Female Eye, a festival the director has screened at before.

Jen Prince went into production spring '05 on her feature film, Eve of Understanding, with Alyson Shelton directing. Jen and Alyson both used Peter on earlier projects and
have hired him to score the film. Post is scheduled for August and September.

Pete has been commissioned by world-renowned Bandurist Victor Mishalow to write a suite for solo bandura, the national instrument of the Ukraine.
Mishalow, based in Toronto, has given recitals and made appearances in North America, Europe and Australia, with solo bandura performances at Carnegie Hall,
Massey Hall and the Sydney Opera House.

The Five Stages of Beer is invited back to the Park City Film and Music Festival to celebrate the film's success at last year's event, where both the film
and Peter's rock-based score received awards for excellence.
The Arsonist screens at first night of USC First Look Festival, Monday 4 October as part of the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Cinema School. The film also screens Saturday, 9 October on the school's campus.
The Arsonist is chosen to compete in the 61st Venice International Film Festival's short film division, Venezia Corto Cortissimo. The festival is held at the Lido from 1-11 September. Visit la Bienannale di Venezia for more information.
