Douglas Romayne in his studio
Douglas Romayne's project studio includes six custom PCs and two Macs utilizing the latest in orchestral and synth libraries with capability of delivering finished soundtracks or preview mockups for projects ultimately scored with live musicians.
Based in Marina del Rey, his studio provides filmmakers a comfortable, professional working environment with a lounge as well as convenient access to westside production facilities, recording studios and expressways. The commercial area adjacent to his studio provides business services and restaurants.

Douglas' project studio allows him to sweeten sample orchestra tracks with live players in-house. Recording areas include a live room with piano and room for up to six players.
Four go-bos (moveable walls) allow him to create the right space for players or vocalists and to choose from a reflective surface or an absorptive one, depending on the desired sound for the recording. The studio has a range of mics and pre-amps. A recording engineer and additional microphones are available for in-house recording dates.

For live recordings of larger bands, Douglas has built relationships with professional musicians, recording studios, engineers, editors and contractors and is able to pull together teams appropriate to your specific film or television project and budget.
In addition to his film experience, Douglas has spent four years scoring network television and animated series and can reliably deliver weekly episodes of orchestral-based underscore as well as manage the day-in/day out post-production schedule of overlapping projects. When needed, he brings in additional staff to handle the needs of projects with condensed post schedules.
